In our quest to bring great beer to Victoria, we gave the guys at Andina Brewing a ring the day they opened.
We begged and pleaded with them to allow us to pick up kegs up in our wagon and haul them back to Victoria.
Luckily, they believed in what we were doing and Smiths became their first account!
When in Vancouver, take a minute, well an hour or two and go visit the most colourful brewery in East Van.
You can’t miss the big, refurbished yellow building and just as their outside, their inside is a gorgeous room.
Great brews, great ceviche, great merchandise (the ceramic growlers are tiiiiight) and great times.
This week we’re pouring their Ay Ay Ay Pale Ale. “Pours a light copper- orange with aromatics of pine, grapefruit, tangerine from dry hop additions and bubblegum and banana from the Belgian yeast. The taste has hints of caramel and cookie but is primarily hop driven with a crispy dry finish and clean cascade bitterness”.
In the future we’ll be bringing some of their special edition Columbian inspired beers back to Smiths. Salud!
